China: Long-term care insurance may become mandatory

China is very likely to introduce compulsory long-term care insurance to cope with ever increasing care needs, particularly for the elderly, a national political advisor has said.
Mr Hu Xiaoyi, former Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Security and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, made these remarks on the sidelines of the annual session of the Conference, reported China Daily.
